Met up with NYP people and bring them around seoul few days back. I seriously think there is age gap between us because I can practically feel the barrier when we communicate. So most of the time I end up talking with the teacher in charge, Mr Wilfred. If you are from nyp you will know that there is this girl who speaks in a very "cute" (to me is weird) way and yes, she is in this trip too. I am really curious how wen jun (when he was captain in nyp) get used to that kind of sound.

Presentation in Myongji. Honestly I am disappointed with Nyp presentation. The slides are good but the way they speak is just too singlish. Maybe I haven hear singlish for a long time thats why I am saying this. But for a person like me who has such wonderful cambridge english to feel that is bad, then it must be really bad. I dont think anyone understand them at all (one of them is from Canada).

Playing time. There are 3 chess players among the nyp students so they play with koreans who are interested in chess.

Went to seoul on sunday with nyp people and we can see the Nuclear Security Summit poster everywhere. I have never seen so much police in seoul before, the sight is quite amazing.

You get to see them almost everywhere! I think NS man should see this and know how fortunate they are. They get much lesser pay and have to do duty in cold weather.

I was quite lucky to be able to see the India convoy passing through. I wonder whats the feeling to be seated inside and pass through seoul with everyone looking at you.

My first cup noodle in korea. Was suppose to meet up with my group members on saturday in school to have lunch and do preparation for our presentation but in the end, everywhere was close except the convenience stall so no choice but to eat this. My friend even bought dumpling and microwave it! I always thought we can only like steam it, cool!! will try that next time.

"The moon that embraces the sun"

I have finally finish watching this drama!! I am not a big fan of historical drama because of the korean used in these kinds of show. Just like in chinese historical drama they use words that are not often used in modern chinese such as mao ce for toilet etc.. anyway when i was watching this show I find it so funny when someone say MAMA (same as 娘娘), it just sound so strange, haha. And there is one thing I have to agree with my sis, how on earth did they manage to cry so easily and so much. Is it really good acting skills or they have a way to secretly spam eyedrops when camera is not on them?

The reason I started this show is because my sis wrote in her blog that after watching this drama, she should stop wasting time watching stupid and lame drama like shut up flower boy band, dream high2. I even went to wiki this show and it turns out to be the number 1 viewership drama in Korea. No wonder I keep seeing koreans using their handphone to watch historical drama on the bus.

Last night is one crazy night, I cant believe I was in HOF (korean style pub) with some crazy people from our department till 2am haha. Seriously how on earth did koreans have so much energy to party and drink at night, I am really amazed. The bad thing about hof is that people are allow to smoke inside so I think I just lost 2 years of my life. One of my female friends got really drank and she keeps telling me the problems she faced when teaching GO in overseas for the past few years and other stuff that she will never tell anyone if she is of clear mind. I just hope that she said those stuff because she is not thinking properly or talking rubbish because if what she say is true, I will feel really sad for her.

Nyp ppl will be coming tmr, time to open my tour agency again. Is bad timing because weather forecast says that it is going to rain for the next few days and I have a presentation next week. I have to think of how to sneak away from them for 1 day to do my school work.

For the past few days I have been watching this korean sitcom call High Kick 3 which is really funny. If there is a watch sitcom marathon I am sure I will get the first few position because somehow I manage to watch 90 episodes in 5 days. This sitcom is still ongoing and 30 more episode to the ending. FIGHTING!! hahaha. When I saw this show on TV in a korean restaurant I was so excited because I get to see the "real" thing but without sub is hard to enjoy the show fully.

Someone in singapore ask me to help buy the shoe insole that makes you grow taller secretly. I decided to get 1 for myself too and after trying it.. OMG.. is a magical world up there. The air and view 3cm higher is so different!! I think this makes a very good birthday present for guys so dont be surprise if friends in swa receive this, hahahhahah.

Every time when I pass by a convenience stall like family mart etc.. and I see people eating cup noodles or some other food inside (they provide table n chair), I tell myself I will never do that. Well...on wednesday I became one of them, getting a microwave food and eat in the stall thanks to the overcrowded canteen in school. Is actually quite a cool because you will never get to experience it in singapore. Shouldnt singapore convenience stall have more microwave food like in korea, taiwan or japan because they taste so good!

School has started and like last sem I manage to squeeze all my classes on mon to wed. After attending the first week i have a feeling that this is going to be 1 tough sem because there is one male teacher (his actions are a bit sissy, especially the hand movement!) who is not really foreigner-friendly. I think he expect me to start studying korean and take the korean exam, worst still I have 2 of his classes!

There are a lot of new faces this sem, the year 1 of course and people returning to school from their 2 years army. Many people I know are either resting this sem or graduated. Really have to thank sooyoung because she help me to link with other korean. I was really shocked to see 승재 in school because I never thought he will enroll into myongji.

Weather in korea has once again gone mad. Just when I thought the weather is getting better ( my idea of good weather is when there are no mist coming out from my mouth when walking to school), today's weather is OMG....first mist coming out even from my nose, and the wind... gosh..

Professor Nam was in a classroom yesterday and when I walk passed she suddenly shouted my name and came out. And she said "The pork jerky (bak kwa) you gave me is so delicious! Can I order it from Singapore?" Hahahaha!

Went to BC card cup top 64 yesterday to be a kifu recorder. I was actually worried that I have to press the clock for them and record the game at the same time because some players play super fast and I will have to memorize the steps and record them when one of them start thinking.

Top 64 is held in a hotel and when I reach there I was told that I can choose the game I want to record. No need to press the clock but I have to record the game using both laptop and hand written. There were famous player like lee chang ho and gu li but I chose Iyama Yuta's game instead because I have yet to see him in person and he is Japan's hope. Another lame reason is that it is getting harder to see Japan pro in international game nowadays.
Thanks to the tygem reporter who took this picture, haha.

Iyama's opponent is a 6p from Korea and our game started last because the korean pro was late. It is always nice to see Japan pro play because the way they hold and put the stones is really elegant. I think is due to the kind of competition timing in their respective country because Iyama was using a lot of his time and the Korean play his every move in an average of 1min. At some point of time I even saw the korean player closing his eyes to "rest", haha. When the game end, the korean was still in his main time and Iyama was in his last byo-mi counting. If you saw the game, Iyama played some moves in places you will never think of and the korean couldnt hide his surprise facial expression. Is kind of sad because if you are in the competition area , you will notice how the korean win Iyama so effortlessly.

Nevertheless I am still a big fan of Iyama, he was so kind and humble when I went to ask for his signature. But it was a different story for Gu Li, totally opposite.. disappointed..

Pork for dinner. I have always wanted to eat this again in Gangnam after a korean friend brought me here but the requirement is that there must be at least 2 person and is difficult to find people to travel all the way to seoul to eat. Finally I manage to eat this after the BC card cup with a new student from our department.

Itaewon

Went to Itaewon toady because I heard from many korean friends that the place is fun. Hmmm..I can only say that maybe I was in the wrong place, haha. There are just too many foreigners especially from the middle east countries and the shops there are disappointing compared to hongdae, myeongdong, dongdaemun etc..

Seriously I almost thought that I am in Turkey because this kind of shops are everywhere there. Is not just 1 or 2 or 3 but EVERYWHERE.. I guess koreans love this.

Whenever I see muslims in Korea I wonder how are they get hala food because is like pork and non hala food everywhere in Korea. Then I realize Itaewon is the place for them because I saw a lot of hala food store and muslims here.

I was really surprise to see TACO BELL because is like a extinct food in Singapore.Wait a min.. the food in taco bell is similar to the turkish kebab right??

If there is 1 good thing about my trip to Itaewon, it would be this cafe. I have been looking for this cafe and is not easy to find one. And just before I was about to leave Itaewon, i saw ZOO CAFE!!

I really like the concept of this cafe and the logo is nice. I even bought their mug, hahaha. If I have money in future I will want to franchise this cafe in Singapore!!

Dinner in this shop call noodle box. I think koreans eating in this restaurant will kill themselves if they know the mee goreng cost less then 2000won in Singapore, hahaha.

They even have nasi goreng!! I find it so amusing when the korean owener shout out mee goreng and nasi goreng so naturally. It makes them so non korean hahaha

What really attracted me to this shop is not the food on the menu but this box. I can say that this is the most non-environmental friendly korean shop I have ever been too. They even provide transparent carrier like those for gifts when people are having their food take away. Of course non environmental friendly is also not the main factor that attracted me to their shop but this...

I have always seen this in US dramas where the chinese food shop in US provide this when they buy take-away food and I want to know so much how it feels to eat in this box, hahaha. Aren't u curious??? well is quite fun to eat with this box. Damm...I should ask for a clean one as souvenir..

I was having email exchange with my sis and I suddenly wonder, would there be any difference in my life if I have a elder sibling. Because in some scenario, the younger sibling can ask opinion or advice from the older one but if you are the oldest one who can u go to?
