Today i finally start my " go lesson" in my camp. Am glad that they find it interesting. Realise that rather than starting on a 13x13 board, 9x9 will be a better choice for new player. Teaching them is 100 times easier than teaching pri sch kids, haha... My boss even came over to see and suddenly tell us story about weiqi which i never heard be4.

When i saw L's reply on yuri's tagboard, i dunno y but i felt alittle angry. And when I saw what house wrote on my tagboard i was really disappointed.

win win win, lose lose lose ...yar, is all about winning and losing and whether u can squeeze into the top few. Suddenly a pro comes into the pic and ppl start complaining. Oh and no one complain when xie tang and zhou xiang join, most probably because they dun have the pro cert and pro status even though their strength is almost similar to pro just that the 2 r slightly not as lucky as those who pass in the pro test.

Life in my new camp is not bad. ppl here are not bad.

well, pro thing topic is hot. i dun like to interfere all these stuff cause is tiring n takes up alot of time. But sometimes u just cant stand 1 side and look at the whole party cause is just not right. I really hope that ppl who are into these thing is not for personal benefit.

Ok, change of topic. For those who are active into weiqi, hope that we can work together more to promote this game. Dun depend all on youth connection cause it will be very tiring for us. So if u guys got any good or new suggestion, feel free to share around :)

Today is a real busy day for me.

Went to ikea in the afternoon for lunch with my sister then got myself a table lamp which cost only $9.90. Way cheaper than my budget, muhahahahhah.

Then went to orchard to get some disc.

After which went to bishan to get a 13x13 weiqi set so tat i can start promoting in my new camp, haha.

Was really shocked that some of my friends are preparing a petition to prevent a pro player from joining whampo cup. I personally dun find anything wrong with pro joining sg amateur competition. The top prize is not some huge amount of cash prize, is just vouchers and this pro who join is recommended by mr yang. I think that we should should be lucky that he is interested to join this amateur competition where the prize is not attractive at all. He should be the one worrying cause he is a pro and is not confirm that he will get first and if he dun get first it will be damm embarassing for him. There are ppl like xt, zx etc.. who will be stopping him. y cant we think that it will be a free teaching game or u might even win him? philip join whampo cup the year he came sg too. I dunno y they keep saying about the rules n restriction about the chinese weiqi association, is like trying very hard and too hard to get him out of this. This pro would surely know that if he violate the rules he will be in deep shit. If we wan sg overall weiqi standard to improve, we should encourage more "foreign talent" if not it will be the same old ppl winning com and there wont be much improvement for them either cause they dun have a higher goal or target to work towards.

No offence to those who oppose the pro from joining. All this is my personal opinion. There is no right or wrong, is just how we see this.

Went to my unit today.

I was expecting my posting as a clerk to be slack n can read lots of weiqi book type but i am super duper wrong.

I got oot cause cant carry gun n yet in my new post i have to 'handle' a wide variety of dufferent sizes of gun.... gosh...

i got my posting out of sudden today.

I am happy but feel that the timing was not right. cause everyone went off to field camp and i din have a chance to say goodbye to my bunkmates and sergeants.

Feel really sad when i think of my bunkmates POC, going to those celebration stuff, getting the company's t-shirt, haiz... is like i was not part of them..kind of extra.

Packing up was in a rush too.. manage to write a farewell note to them.

Everything in tekong just happen so fast.

Was glad that those sirs n sergeant who become GO fan wish me the best before i left.

Donated my GO board to the company office. Hope they can spread this game:)

Was looking forward to my bookout day this weekend and before i start planning where to go i got hit by fever....



Went to see doc on sat morning and slept the whole day at home. wat a nice bookout day :)



Seriously i think i am mad. Y? cause when i know the fan yurika got for me is in bugis, i went all the way to bugis to get it at night despite i am still sick.

I have to say our section is one of the most bonded one and i am really lucky to be in this section. While everyone else run off like mad ppl after being released, we r the only one who stay behind to take a group photo, as usual david copperfield is missing. Sad thing is me and shane will be posted out earlier than them.

Yesterday went to bishan to get a 13x13 pvc weiqi board for camp use then check the results of my schools who join the entry cluster competition from james.

The schools i taught are anchor green pri, nan chiau pri and yio chu kang pri. In total they got 3 gold and 14 silver. I am really happy with their results.

Then went to bugis for yls lesson. haha, cause i was wearing a cap and when i called yls he look at me for like 2 sec stunned then realised who am i, muhahahaha...

Had dinner with nyp gang and wee hong. Is fun to hang out with weiqi frends. Wonder if we still get to eat out after they grauated....

Ok, going back to tekong "resort" soon.

Today is the book out day, book out, book out!!!

After many days of hell in tekong resort, i manage to survived and return back to the mortal world...hahaha

I dunno y ppl like to say cb and f**k all the time in army. Is a very very very bad hadbit ... I seriously got culture shock when i went back to army after deepavali. Almost every 10min i sure will hear ppl saying "CB lar" or "F**k lar".... haiz....... still not used to it..

Slowly getting used to life there but i hate to wake up tat early...no choice..

Food there is hmmmm.... ice cream not bad.... haha...

Thanks to deepavali, i can go home :)

Today is the second round of nong-sim cup noodles 3-countries cup and china won again. Tmr will be against korea and i will be supporting korea, haha...

GO world is a cruel one, no matter how much hard work you put in or how much sacrifice you have made for this game, no one will give a damn about you unless you win or you are the champion.

i still wanna slack.....

Looking at my previous post, i remembered something in pizza hut that surprised me. While i was eating, i saw something like 'ice kachang' on the table beside mine but i dun remember seeing it on the menu then giving it a closer look i was stunned. You know in pizza hut where they have this mini buffet counter in the center for ppl to take soup, salad or fruits and normally you can only take once so this 'ice kachang' i saw is actually a mountain of fruits and salad n it amazed me how they stack so high. If this happen in sg, i think everyone in the pizza hut will be staring at them.

This is the view i have from my room. No olympic structure but long strech of road... Before i went beijing they keep saying the air there is not good and i dun really get wat it means at first cause isnt air all the same? But after this trip, yes beijing air is bad. A good example (u might find the following disgusting...) is that when i dig my nose in beijing i am shocked that pure black things comes out. Never seen these stuff in sg be4 and there is haze all over beijing when there is no wind.

So everything ended and i felt that these 8 days, i experience a retiree life. Eat, sleep, walk around, no brain activity except playing go sometimes, blogging, facebooking, flaoting around the com area like a soul, day dreaming, watching tv in room, watching drama (cheris ask me to watch 'lair game' in crunchyroll, is nice go watch) and so on..... Is a good experience though.

4 more days to army life. Dun feel excited at all cause i cant sleep late n watch tv tat often anymore... oh but i am looking forward to see myself being bald haha..

Went pizza hut for lunch today......

The menu say ice lemon tea so i thought is the same one in sg, but no........ is really pure red tea plus a few piece of lemon as display.....

i dunno wat flavour this pizza is..... i only know is DAMN OILY.... As in u can really see oil in the pizza.. Food here is really oily.

Just had an adventure in china.... I ask philip is there a shop nearby which sell weiqi books n he told me i can get it in 王福井 and i remember junzhe telling me to visit this place when i got nothing to do. So i went to the information counter and ask where is this place and the lady say is very very far and is a place where ppl buy expensive items, muhahahaha...her expression is really funny, like she felt disgusted of that place... so i went to double confirm with philip (he was playing weiqi leisurely tat time) and he say is near, take cab around 20 to 30 min.... Maybe i am use to a tiny little country so i think 20-30 min is really far especially in china... I dun really like to travel alone cause my mind keep flashing image of the movie hostel and pathology

So i decided to go ahead (i am so brave) and the cab took 30min and cost 30+ yuan. When i reach that place i am surprise... is like orchard road except that the road for vehicles becomes pavement for ppl... AND THERE IS ALOT ALOT ALOT OF PEOPLE. If you are anti social or you dun really like hanging out with human beings, this is 1 place you dun wan to go.

The driver drop me at one of the end of the street and the bookstore happens to be the other end, so i have to walk through ALOT of human beings... ok..there is really alot of books there but not much interest me, in the end got 3 books.

ok being very very very naive of me, i thought getting a cab back to the com area is easy as in singapore. i am super duper wrong. I saw a row of taxi 'waiting' at the road side and i thought is so easy to get cab. Then when i show the name card of the com venue he said "this place will cost 100 yuan" i am like huh..siao.. haha the next one is worst, i haven show him the card he shoo me away like some housefly.... i tell myself, i will flag cab then...i am so wrong again.. ppl there dont queue, they just walk stright in front of you to flag and in a few minutes time there is like more than 10 ppl in front of me trying to snatch for cab....

I got abit worry cause is getting late and my experience in snatching cab is not as experience than them. So i try another road and things get worst... There are many empty taxi there and just when i thought a cab is stopping down for me, he look at me n drove off... n it happens alot of time. i dunno y.. do i have the 'no money to pay' face or the 'i am going to rob your cab' face???

So i tried another stratedy which is to wait at the shopping mall taxi stand and it took me quite a while to find one(super ulu)... the queue was getting shorter n shorter cause the cab came in like every 5 min and finally my turn. Guess what.. i waited more than half an hour for a single taxi to come in.. meantime ppl behind me get impatient and they started standing in front of the stand trying to snatch cab... haiz... somehow i got a cab n reach the com venue. Is the first time in the past 6 days that i like this place so much... to me this whole thing is damm scary cause i duuno what time i can reach back or if so suay the cab i got in dunno how to go....this whole thing will make me not to travel alone so far in future.

Oh i learn from the cab driver that 你牛 means that u r number 1 or u r good. haha, suddenly thought of the weiqi incident few years back when nie wei ping say ni niu to chen yao ye....

My friend's team lost today but they manage to win yu bin's group so in the end she got a bronze. And being a pro player is so good... we all know that when they join competition or pro selection, they r given money. But i din know they are also given allowence for food (when is already provided) and the amount is wah.....

Chan Han Siong and Yang Kai Wen, which name sound like gal, of course kai wen right?? I cant believe they think that my name is a gal name and they put my name in the female column for pair go... great.....................................

Today's excitement is too much for me... i need to rest...

This is the korean amaetur team. My friend toold me that the gal is top in korea insei and the guy is very famous in korea amateur. They just won a japan pro team. Feel sad for the pro team cause they got eliminated right after the first round.

Her opponent for first round was north korea and she say playing against amateur team like north korea is headach cause they are very strong but still in amateur status and if she lost them, ppl will say pro lost to amateur. haha, a burden. But is good she win in the end. Oh she also say that if korea team win gold medal, those in the gold medal will get US$5,000 each.

And ahhhhhhhh.... today's lunch is yoshinoya AGAIN!!!! i have a terrible feeling that tml lunch is kfc....
